I fully advocate getting into the literal spirit of the holiday rush. :b
Though I'm more of a "take it easy and I can wait"-type of approach these days as far as the holidays go. I'd rather enjoy each day leading up to the 25th because then at least it feels like the atmosphere is still around, haha.
I had that feeling a few years ago. I think it's cus I overloaded on Christmas Music in November so by the time December came around I was already sick of Christmas. Even the Christmas after that was kinda meh.
I'm guessing that's not your problem, but there is one thing that helped me get in the Christmas Spirit: giving to others. I'm not sure if you have an allowance or any kind of income, but even if you don't you can always draw someone something. Be it someone online you know or someone in real life. I find giving more exciting than receiving.
I mean, I already bought my family gifts with what money I had but even then it felt more like I was just buying them stuff as if it were a more toned down occasion. It did feel nice to buy them stuff but it doesn't help me to feel that something special about Christmas that feels missing right now.
