More lizard shenanigans, featuring 20% more anthro.
Seeing as I've been following this rabbithole of a theme, I figured I might as well try out something like this. I actually really like how it come out. Sure, it's kinda out of my ballpark, but hey, I don't think I should be picky about what I feel like drawing. That's probably not very conducive to a productive hobby.
As for the style and general inspiration, this young lady has all the blame.
Wow, that coloring style is slick to the scales, dude. :b A lot more watercolor-ish than your usual solidified and shiny approach. The fact you're playing with so many anthropomorphic creatures lately really does brighten and freshen up how the viewer perceives your work. Stylistically impressive, MK.
It's not like anthro-ish characters are anything particularly new to me anyway, it's just something I haven't done in a while. Most of my old art had that whole cartoon animal feel to it a lot of the time. This is kinda an offshoot of that, getting more detailed but still holding onto some of the animal aspects. It makes things more fun to experiment with.
Crossovers of styles can definitely give you an advantage. You can even gain some new fans without making your old ones feel as if you're abandoning what made you so great in the first place.
Keep it up.
